Introducing my new therapy office space! A lot of care & attention went into making this space just right for my clients…
The therapy office space is accessible via 1 flight of stairs. Once you enter, you will see hooks where you can hang up your coat & a bench to take off your boots.
In the main therapy office space, you are greeted by a full hot beverage station. Choose from coffee, tea, hot chocolate, & other options. I also have some snacks for youth coming directly from school or a basketball game!
A powder room is directly adjoining the therapy office space. Clients are welcome to arrive 5-10 minutes early so they can make a hot beverage, grab a blanket or pillow, & settle in!
The main space includes 2 comfy couches… Please choose their favourite place to sit! Partners should find EFT (Emotionally-Focused Therapy) experiential exercises much easier when they can look at each other rather than sitting side-by-side. The coffee table storage is full of frequently-used items such as art supplies & fidget toys. My prop remote controller reminds you that you can “pause” the therapy session at any time. Perhaps you want to ask a question, switch gears, or take a moment to ground / regulate yourself? You have control to choose how to use your therapy time.
“You can be yourself with me”
This cozy therapy office space is decorated with many little touches to help support clients in feeling safe & calm.
Appointments are scheduled with a “buffer” of 15 minutes between sessions to allow folks time to come & go without feeling they need to rush. There is 1 designated parking spot right in front of the building & additional parking nearby for partners arriving in separate vehicles.
The office space is located in Ottawa West, near Baseline, Merivale, & Clyde. It is only 5 minutes from the Carling / Kirkwood exit of the 417 highway & is just a few minutes walk from the #80 bus route.
I opened up my new therapy office space in June 2024! I’m sure it will continue to change throughout my years of private practice (2 years down, hopefully another 22 to go!). Regardless, I hope that my future clients will love this comfortable space as much as I do!
